Strategy for Last Stand 1

Plan your defenses and defeat the zombies.
Don’t lose any lawn mowers.

Plants Lineup:
Cabbage-pult, kernel-pult, snapdragon, spring bean
Pirate Seas Last Stand 1 Plants

Zombies Enemies
Conehead, buckethead, swashbuckler, pirate captain, barrel roller zombie, seagull zombies.

Strategy
Setup your defense according to the picture shown. Your line of kernel-pults serves the function of instantly kill seagull zombies and slow down the enemies. The line of cabbage-pult lobs the cabbages towards the barrel roller itself instead of the barrel. When your lucky, you will be able to kill the roller zombie before the barrel reaches your spring bean.

The spring bean acts as a mini buffer between the incoming imp and swashbuckler zombies. And it can potentially draw fire from the pirate captain’s bird attack.

There are two situations to use your plant foods on:
1. When the barrels get too close to you, use the plant food on the spring bean to instantly kill them.
2. When the pirate captain’s parrot zombies aim for your backrow of kernel-pult and cabbage-pult. We find it the easiest just use the plant food on the plant being attacked. However, you will have to time it right to avoid your plant from being killed.

Usually when the parrot zombie targets your snapdragon, they will die while being on the job.

Any setup has a chance to fail with this stage because your kernel corn and parrot zombies make some serious random factors. However, we have found our strategy has the highest success chance. Just try a couple of times if you fail.

Strategy for Last Stand 2

PPlan your defenses and defeat the zombies.
Don’t lose any lawn mowers.

Plants Lineup:
Cabbage-pult, kernel-pult, snapdragon, spring bean
Pirate Seas Last Stand 2 Plants

Zombies Enemies
Conehead, buckethead, swashbuckler, pirate captain, barrel roller zombie, seagull zombies, imp cannon.

Strategy
This stage is very similar to Pirate Seas Last Stand 1. All the strategy and logic behind the units are the same. The only exception is that the deck position is off centered which make your bottom rows weaker than the first one. However, you have 250 additional sun to cover that weakness.

In addition, this stage also features the imp cannon. Note that your firepower is not enough to kill the imp cannon and they may explode and unleash the imps on you. (although you are still able to kill it sometimes if your kernel-pult freezes the cannon enough times). Your snapdragon defense should be able to withhold the mass imp invasion.

Like last stage, you should use the plant food when either the barrel roller gets too close or if the bird targets your back row of catapults. Your plants will be able to take care of all the other enemy zombies.

Pirate Seas Last Stand 2 Final

Strategy for Last Stand 3

Plan your defenses and defeat the zombies.
Don’t lose any lawn mowers.

Plants Lineup:
Spikeweed

Zombies Enemies
Imp Cannon, Swashbuckler Zombies

Strategy
There is not much strategy at all to this stage. Because the enemy zombie only has two types of units, you can kill all of them off with a field full of spikeweeds. The only thing that you need is patience for all the imp cannons to explode and kill themselves off.

  1. But bloomerangs destroying the cannons will indeed destroy the cannons, yet you get less kills than if using spikeweed waiting for them to explode. This helps especially if you don’t want to pay for keys or grind with a less plays of the map or to get money/treasure since money/gems/treasure/keys are dropped by zombie kills.

  2. not all zombies drop money/keys at the same rate. imp zombies are extremely, extremely unlikely to drop money or keys. so that makes last stand 3 less valuable for farming than this article suggests and definitely makes the spike weed method less valuable because it takes so long.

if using this level to farm keys, use the boomerang method described by nick above. your goal is to kill cannons as fast as possible because those are the most likely to drop keys.
